The story of the Hindenburg Disaster has always been one of interest to me. Call it morbid curiosity if you will, but studying the failures of various man made "things" (airships, buildings, bridges, businesses, governments, etc. ) is just interesting to me.
I'm sure a psychologist would ask if, in my life, I see the glass as half full or half empty, but I don't really think the interest in failure and calamity is unique to me.
I remember my grandfather talking about failure testing at GM, and how engineers learn a lot by learning what makes things fail. Well, I'm not an engineer, just a Liberal Arts grad who likes to learn about what makes things work and what makes things fail.
Anyway, I just found the Hindenburg video clip on the web, and thought I would post a link for anyone who might be interested.
