So I decided to move around the furniture in the guest room the other night, and my wife just walked past the room, paused to look in, and looked up at me as if to say, "Um, why?"
Suffice to say that I just thought moving the furniture around would give us some more room to to move around in there. Does it really matter? No, not since the waterbed has been drained (since the D-O-G chewed through the cords to the heater controls) and the room has turned into a staging area for baby-related stuff. Still, I was determined.
It VERY quickly became apparent, (despite my professional-level use of a tape measure) that things were not going to turn out as I had hoped. But now I had the waterbed all askew, and I was, as I said, "determined." I'm pretty sure my wife, had she decided to vocalize her thoughts, would have described it as, "a rediculous waste of time." She did, however, say something to the effect of, "since you have the bed mostly dismantled, why not just take the whole thing apart and be done with it?"
I continued to be determined.
Ultimately, it was a totally rediculous waste of time, and I dismantled the bed. So, now the guest room is more of a storage room on the main level of the house, visibly bare, furniture-wise, and crying out for a couple twin beds or something. Wouldn't that be nice?
I'll ask Heidi how she wants to arrange things... even if I have a tape measure with me.
